Affiliate tracking
Affiliate tracking is optional and separate from analytics. Accepting a referral remembers it for up to 60 days. You can decline and enter a code before your first purchase. Clearing a referral removes browser storage; an attribution already confirmed on sign-up remains in the program records.
1. What Are We Talking About?
A "tracker" is a cookie or any piece of information stored in your browser (local storage) and read on your visits. Scenby uses very few trackers: most only keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Scenby uses no third-party advertising cookies and shares no browsing data with ad networks.
3. Consent
Essential trackers (session, payment security, bot protection) and preference trackers are set without consent: they are strictly necessary for the service you request.
Audience measurement relies on your consent: no visitor identifier is created until you accept via the banner. Your choice (accept or decline) is kept for 13 months, after which you are asked again. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see below); withdrawing is as easy as accepting.
This measurement records an approximate location — country, city, and coordinates rounded to the nearest hundredth of a degree (about 1 km). It is derived from your IP address by our host Vercel as your request passes through its network: no IP address is sent to any third-party geolocation service, and we never store your IP address in clear text — only a salted fingerprint. This location tells us where our audience comes from and is shown on an internal map; its deliberately coarse precision cannot locate an individual.
4. Manage or Withdraw Your Consent
- From Scenby: clear the
veeziora_analytics_consentkey from your browser's site data — the banner reappears and your new choice applies immediately; the visitor identifier is deleted if you decline. - From your browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge let you block or clear a site's storage ("Site data", "Cookies and site data"). Blocking essential trackers prevents signing in.
- By e-mail: contact@scenby.com for any question or request about your data.
5. Further Information
